Job Purpose
An exciting opportunity for an experience Stock Control Assistant Manager to join the Stock Control Team at Company Shop during a busy period of growth.
Reporting to the Stock Control Manager, the role is fundamental in the day to day running of the stock control departments across multiple shifts and sites to ensure stock integrity is upheld to the highest standard and the correct stock arrives at the correct location in a timely manner.

Specific duties and responsibilities
- Supporting and deputising for the Stock Control Manager with:- Day to day management, mentoring and development of the stock controllers
- Developing and implementing effective stock management procedures to ensure accurate, complete and timely stock record keeping
- Investigate stock discrepancies
- Continuous general process improvement
- Physical inventory (PI) cycle counting across multiple sites, ensure continued development and success across the group

  • Maximise stock potential and minimise stock losses through the effective monitoring and reporting of stock holding
  • Work collaboratively with other Company Shop departments
  • Liaise with all operational Shift Supervisors to facilitate regular co-ordinated warehouse auditing from receipt of goods through to despatch. To include stock monitoring, compliance and stock levels:
- Record audit findings and actions, agreeing timescales for completion of corrective actions
- Conduct follow up reviews
- Presenting traceability audit results to external auditors
  • Promote stock integrity and traceability across all sites
  • Understand root cause analysis (RCA) methodology to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock-control records:
- Ensure investigations have been completed effectively and efficiently
- Identify the root cause
- Recommend remedial actions for resolution
- Accurate RCA reporting
  • Work closely with the Commercial and Finance team to resolve stock queries
  • Work closely with the technical department for the organisation of stock re-calls
Key Performance Indicators
  • Accuracy of stock records
  • Picking fulfilment
  • Investigations SLA’s
  • Previous experience as a Stock Controller or similar role
  • Good understanding of supply chain procedures
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Moderate/Advanced level Excel
  • Active participation in inventory audits
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
