Even more key workers to benefit from big brand discounts
Membership of Company Shop temporarily extended to reach more key workers
Company Shop, the surplus redistribution superstore, has temporarily widened its membership to reach even more key workers across the region during the pandemic – helping to stretch family budgets by providing high-quality, low-cost food and essential products.
In its national response to combat COVID-19, Company Shop Group has significantly scaled up its provision to support thousands more individuals and families across the region during this unprecedented period.
In light of this, the Group has temporarily extended its membership including:
- Community services, with those working in care homes (private and non-private), hospices, and nurseries, as well as religious staff including volunteers
- Support services, including highways agency, blood bikes and Blue Light card holders amongst others
- COVID-19 responders, including all returning workers to the NHS, police and fire
- Teachers and those working in schools
- Council Workers
These new categories are in addition to Company Shop’s permanent membership group, which includes those working in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) supply chain, the NHS, emergency services, prison services and the British Army.
When shopping in store, members can access an ever-changing range of surplus products from well-known retailers and hundreds of household brands, which are up to 53% off the normal retail price.
To accommodate members working increased hours or unsociable shifts on the frontline, as well as those who are shielding, Company Shop has also given special allowances so friends and family can shop on their behalf.
Company Shop prides itself on its ability to help members ‘shop good, feel good and do good’. By purchasing surplus stock from the FMCG supply chain and redistributing it through its network of eight membership-only superstores across England and Scotland, Company Shop is saving good food from going to waste whilst helping thousands of members to save their pennies.
