About the role
Retail Marketing Executive is responsible for the planning and executing retail marketing activities to drive footfall and basket spend in our chain of stores. The role holder will be commercially aware with strong planning, social media, digital, copywriting and analytical skills. Ensuring all commercial opportunities are maximised and contribute to the growth of the business.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities
· Create engaging content and copy for agreed footfall driving membership campaigns.
· Brief in to in house design team all product and promotions.
· Daily management of all current social channels (FB, Twitter & Instagram) and identify opportunities of growth with in social media.
· Execute all social media content ensuring approval processes have been followed.
· Manage day to day marketing activities both national and local.
· Support retail stores with regular briefs for activities including ordering in store point of sale.
· Create and execute retail email communications to membership base being able to react to the tactical nature of the business.
· Track all marketing activity weekly, maintaining records of progress and providing details for reporting (advertising, ROI, Footfall, Basket Spend, in store promotions & advertised products).
· Maintaining and updating members personal data in line with GDPR practices.
· Adhering to and making suggestions on process improvement across retail marketing team.
· Be knowledgeable about the targets and performance of local stores, understand which retail marketing leavers need to be activated to support store performances.
· Identify opportunities for growth through analysis of external insights.
· Work closely with trading team to understand product details and campaign opportunities.
· Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging colleagues to promote a culture of good HSE practice.
· Keep up to date with information relevant to your department and cascade this accordingly to your team/colleagues.
· Engaging with key stakeholders across the business to support cross functional and positive working relationships.
· Regular updates and escalations to be shared with Retail Marketing Management team.
· Ensure that you adhere to all Company Shop Group (CSG) policies and procedures.

Skills and experience
· Upholding Company Shop Group values at all times.
· Ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external members.
· Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships cross functionally.
· Strong written & copy writing skills are necessary.
· Ability to use Microsoft packages including Outlook, Excel, Work, Power point.
· To be flexible and adaptable to support the needs of the business.
· Ability to effectively plan, organise and manage own workload while working in a buys fast pace environment. .

Hours- 40 hour contract

Location – Head Office, Tankersley, Barnsley.
