About the role

As the Marketing Executive (Membership), you will work closely with the Membership Manager and Head of PR, Communications and Membership as well as the wider Marketing Team to evaluate the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives, identify acquisition prospects and optimisation opportunities

Accountabilities & Responsibilities


  • Alongside the Membership Manager, ensure all objectives are delivered in line with departmental budgets
  • Drive and improve processes across the Membership Team
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety & Environmental policies and practices are upheld, whilst proactively encouraging colleagues to promote a culture of good HSE practice
  • Keep up to date with information relevant to your department and cascade this accordingly to your team/colleagues
  • Engaging with key stakeholders across the business to support cross functional and positive working relationships
  • Ensure that you adhere to all Company Shop Group (CSG) policies and procedures

  • Implement and deliver Member recruitment campaigns from concept through to design and delivery using direct response marketing channels and tactics
  • Analyse demographics to understand and best deliver local acquisition campaigns dependent upon local requirements
  • Liaise with potential Members and prospective Members across external avenues, building strong relationships that allows CSG to drive new acquisitions within our Membership criteria groups
  • Analyse Membership data; understanding the needs and wants of potential new Members, reacting and implementing measurable outcomes and actions accordingly
  • Evaluate existing services and offerings on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities to improve the Member experience
  • Work closely and effectively with relevant departments to act upon and expand any opportunities to increase membership across CSG
  • Align and support the wider Membership team to continually improve the Member journey and the overall Member experience
  • Execute traditional and modern marketing activity to support new and existing stores
  • Assist the Membership Manager to execute strategic digital and partnership marketing campaign
  • Manage relationships with third party agencies and ensure timely and impactful delivery

Location- Company Shop, Head Office, Tankersley, Barnsley

Shifts/Hours - Full time 40 hours per week
