About the Role
The Commercial Reporting Analyst is responsible for generating insights and recommendations for the various stakeholders within our Commercial and Retail teams, with the ultimate goal of maximising profit. We want to drive financial efficiency and a ‘customer first’ mentality through insight lead continuous improvements.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities 
  • Through ‘being curious,’ take an inquisitive approach to the work we do to shape the type of reports we need to improve decision making
  • Support the commercial and retail teams with all data requirements using Excel & BI Reporting tools
  • Developing financial reporting that enables stakeholders within the business to make decisions efficiently and effectively
  • Providing reporting and insight into category and store performance, and understanding and evaluating the impact of proposed changes
  • Solve complex analytical problems using quantitative approaches using a unique blend of technical, business mathematical, analytical and data skills
  • Analyse large, complex multi-dimensional data sets with variety of tools
  • Take a holistic view of various data sets to drive decision making
  • Partner with business stakeholders to prepare and maintain reports/dashboards that will be used to derive insights into past/present/future business performance
Knowledge, Skills and Experience 
  • · An aptitude and appetite for managing large volumes of business-critical data
  • · Qualified accountant, or experience in a quantitative field with an emphasis on analytics
  • · Advanced Excel, BI Tools, Data warehouses
  • · Exposure to Microsoft NAV would be advantageous
  • Fluency in Statistical and Commercial Analysis and optimization
  • Experience building statistical and business models, such as: Mix analysis, Variance Analysis, Revenue Models, Margin Analysis, Elasticity and Demand Forecasting
  • Experience developing Dashboards and Reporting Packages
  • Methodical and logical approach to work
  • Ability to prioritise and manage parallel workflows with tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to summarise detailed data and present the “heart of the issue” clearly to all levels of the business including non-finance colleagues
